| I do too - but I really would like to actually get to know her better - I've said it before and I'll say it again - she's one of the characters that I still don't feel like I have a good grasp on. |

| I must come in and say that I thought it was pretty funny that the only guy we've ever seen her fawn all over was a fairy - I mean she's a Shadowhunter and knows what they are all about, but yet the only person or well creature we see her throwing herself all over is something that they don't really hold a high respect for. |

| I know people compare her to Rosalie from Twilight, but I don't really think so. Rosalie clearly showed that she didn't like Bella, but in City of Ashes, Isabelle even says to Alec that Clary likes her more than him. I hated that when Simon was turned into a rat, she just stood their and cried.
Other than that, I like Isabelle. |

| Oh Isabelle. I have to say that in the begining I didn't really like Isabelle, She made me think of a popular clique girl.. you know? But as the we progressed through COB and COA. I really began to understand her although I totaly agree with the fact that we don't know much about her. Isabelle really seems to have a grasp on who she is as a person and really embraces the fact that she's a "woman". I really liked that fact that she is happy with who she is and that she knows that because shes a female she can get men to fall for her just like that. Sure, I kind of sound like a feminist by saying that but there isn't enough of that out there now a days with all the media pressure so it was a nice to know that at least people can be confident with who they are in fictional novels. _________________ Unfortunalty we're all out of bitter revenge, so it's tea or nothing.

| I'm not really sure about Isabelle...she can be a bitch sometimes (sorry for the language but its true!) but i think she's rather fond of Clary. She might have feelings for Jace....i hope not though! but i doubt it, she knows how her brother feels about Jace, so I don't think she thinks about Jace in that same way...but I'm curious to see how she'll be around Sebastian... |

| I don't know if it's just me, but I personally don't really care for Isabelle. Didn't it say in CoA somewhere that Isabelle was the kind of person who would do some epic deed flawlessly with her hair looking perfect or something of the sort? Well, anyway, I remember it said that it made Isabelle a hard person to not hate. Whereas I don't particularly care for Isabelle, I can't say I hate her. But I don't have much of a reason to like her. As for Isabelle saying Clary likes her better than Alec, I don't really give that statement any credibility. I can't help but see Isabelle as sort of vain, and I don't know if I was the only one who raised an eyebrow when Isabelle said that. I can totally see Alec and Clary empathizing with each other and being friendly in CoG, but I just can't put Isabelle in the 'Clary's BFF' place. _________________ "And that there." | I feel like when Isabelle told Alec that Clary liked her better it was more of a sibling teasing kind of thing than anything else. Anywho...I LOVE Isabelle. I have no idea why. I've just really liked her character from the beginning. I like that she's not all cookie-cutter nice girl. She kicks major demon ass!!! A lot of people may think she's bitchy, and I can see where they'd make that conclusion, especially at first. But I don't think Isabelle is a bitch. She's just...Isabelle. But to be honest, there is not really a character in this series that I don't like. They are all so different, and I love them for different reasons. But Isabelle is awesome and I would totally want to be her friend if she was real. Though she probably would not want to be mine. lol |

| I seriously think that Isabelle is a new take on the whole fairytale princesss, pretty, popular-ish (Shadowhunter's don't really have friends) and totally in charge! She uses her charms and beauty like any other weapon which makes her pretty dangerous and invaluble! |

| Here's that quote I was looking for! | Quote: | There was a small wooden gazebo built out over the water; Isabelle was sitting in it, staring out across the lake. She looked like a princess in a fairy tale, waiting at the top of her tower for someone to ride up and rescue her. Not that traditional princess behavior was like Isabelle at all. Isabelle with her whip and boots and knives would chop anyone who tried to pen her up in a tower into pieces, build a bridge out of the remains, and walk carelessly to freedom, her hair looking fabulous the entire time. This made Isabelle a hard person to like, though Clary was trying. |
CoA U.S. hardback, page 149.
Also, I had a revelation recently - and yes, it took months for this to sink in - that Izzy is her nickname... AND IT'S MINE TOO. D< My name isn't Isabelle, but I'm Izzy. -grumbles- I started spelling it with an e (Izzë). -.- _________________ "And that there." Magnus said, looking across the room at Will.
