At The beginning of CoB, I thought he was kind of jerky but I could understand that since he had like a MONSTER sized crush on Jace. I mean Like if there was someone hitting on the guy u like I think u would be incrdibley(SP) evil to them to make them stop liking that person nd they would figure to back off but Alec started behaving better after the whole Magnus giving him his number (BTW I laughed so hard at that part) He found a new interest (Somewhat) or distraction. But I think Alec kind of has the mentality of Rosalie (yes i'm also a twilighter ) Because Rosaile is so jealous of Bella cause shes Human and that she brings out a different and happier side of Edward that no one else ever saw coming and Alec Is Jealous of Clary cause she has Jace's Attention and bringing out a different side of him that no one else got to see but her. So if you look at it in a strange akward angle way they're a lot a like.
But Yea I think Alec Is a Sweetheart nd is definately in my line of Gay Fictional Husbands that I need to marry, Right Behind Magnus .

Alec is a strange boy, but yes, I love him, on a strictly reader character level. Strictly business. He seems to be the fallback the failsafe and when he came to the rescue in City of Ashes when Jace was locked up I just said "reliable's reliable" he's not going anywhere and I dig that about him.

My heart aches for Alec because Iknow how much he loves Jace. And it's heartbreaking to realize that Jace can never love him back the same way.

Sad? yes, yes I guess it is pretty sad but Algnus is just so perfect it makes me happy anyway.

I want an Alec.
I would prefer a Magnus, but I would definitely settle for an Alec. He seems so sweet, once you get past the whole jealousy/hating Clary thing. I love his little moments with Magnus. Especially in CoA...they're everywhere, and I LOVE it.

I heart Alec - at first I really didn't like him - his attitude was a little to rude for me. But once Clary busted him out he calmed down and opened up a little and grew on me.

So in short I pretty much heart Alec for the most part. If he wasn't gay he'd be right behind Jace for my fictional boyfriend

oddly enough I always liked Alec he was so dry he entertained me

At first I didn't like him but now he's one of my favorite characters.

I love Alec. He is sweet once you get past his hostile feelings towards some... But than again who can't love Jace.
