This show is going to be premeiring on BBC America this August - I've already watched both of the first seasons and I think Cat pretty much has minus like 2 or 3 episodes. It is an English show - and they are allowed to cuss on tv there - so I'm going to put some videos up - but be warned about the language *nods*

Oh wait - I almost forgot to tell you all that I seriously HEART this show - it's funny and it can make you cry at the same time
Twisted Evil

Frist video must be about Chris - my FAVORITE character - well Chris - Maxxie and Tony are my favorites

On youtube I have found the begining of the first episode for your viewing pleasure

Before you click the link I must again say a big fat

WARNING

on this show - nudity, tons of swearing - I would give this an R rating - so if your not allowed to watch R movies -then your probably not allowed to watch this *nods*

omg another fan of Sid!!! Hehe.

Oh and BEST NEWS EVER! It is now playing on BBC America annnnnnnnnnnnd my mom has officially started recording the series so she could watch it. What I find is funny is that she didn't want to watch it around my brother who is 14, but when I was 12 she let me watch the L Word. Actually she watched that around my brother two and he was at least 10 or 11 when he saw his first episode of the showtime drama. Its more graphic in my opinion that Skins so I find it funny lol.

BOO Chris and Tony FOR THE WIN!!!

Sid and Cassey were cool - but I started out a Tony and Chris fan and I will always be a Tony and Chris fan *shrugs*

And Cat I think your winning the award for the most retarded randomness - like your stuff is completely off topic and generally makes no sense or has anything to do with what we are talking about - freak LOL

PostSubject: OH MY GOD   Mon Aug 25, 2008 6:52 pm

Dude I haven't found anyone else not British who watches this show! I watched the first two seasons and loved it! Sure, it's impossibly dramatic, but that's what makes it so fun.

And Chris is also my favorite! How can you not love him? He's hilarious. I was totally pissed at the ending they came up with for him. I'm not sure if I'll watch season three, as none of the same characters are in it except Effie, who I didn't like anyway. My favorite episode was the Chris one in season 1, because it was so heartbreaking and yet so so good.

Oh and every time Sid's on screen (especially in season 1) all I can think is SIMONSIMONSIMON. For me, Cassie's just a freak, I did not like her at all in season 2. Just so freaking obnoxious.

I love that you people watch this show! It's amazing!

LOL - it's not actually shown in America, we have to pirate it and find it online.

Well series 1&2 are now available on US itunes, but only the first season has aired on BBC America. Personally I didn't like season three really all that much. Like it just wasn't as good as the first two seasons.

I guess I just didn't really feel a pull to like any particular characters in season 3 like I did with the first two seasons. At least during seasons 1&2 even when Tony was being an asshat I still liked him and held a soft spot for him. But like Cook for instance, when he was being an idiot I just flat out didn't like him at all. The only character I think I didn't want to hit or disembowel during the entire third season was Emily. JJ wasn't too bad I guess, but I didn't relly feel much of a pull towards him either.

Chris FTW - he is the best skins character - ever xD imho anyways -snort-

God, I love Skins. And I've never met/talked to anyone who watches it; I'm in America, and when people ask me things like, "What's your favorite TV show?" I always says Skins, and no one has ever heard of it before.
Maxxie, Tony, and OF COURSE Anwar (how can you not love Anwar? impossible, I think) are the coolest, although Tony got really annoying and somewhat boring in Season Two - which I'm not done watching, so no spoilers, please! It's impossible for Maxxie to be annoying, and same with Anwar, even when they were fighting during Season One.
Cassie was pretty much an annoying little whatever that I wanted to die in a hole the entire time, along with possibly Jal. She really got on my nerves. But surprisingly enough, Michelle didn't bother me at all. In fact, I kind of liked her.
Although the guy characters were always better, and more interesting.
I almost don't want to watch Season Three, I'm so upset all of the characters are gone. Except for stinking Effie, who was dumb in the first place.
Skins is definitely the most roller coaster-y show I have ever watched. One second you feel like crying, and at another you're sent into fits of unstoppable laughter. And that's what makes it amazing. XD

K. My rather long rant is over. (:

Unlike most people,I started with season3,so what I feel for it is what the rest of the world feels for seasons 1&2.I already knew the show, but never had the impulse to watch it.Till I saw a Freddie/Effy video on youtube(well,my cousin showed me) and fell in love with the couple. So I started watching the third series and absolutely loved it!In two weeks or so,I was done with it and already re-watching my fave episodes.I love all the characters, the jokes, their crazy lifestyle haha.Ok,sometimes Cook can really annoy me,but only because he's in the middle of Effy and Freddie...Yep,I'm a romantic. And a Skins rebel.Everyone prefers the first two seasons,I prefer the third.People love Chris,he still didn't got me.Fans love Naomi/Emily,I prefer Emily/JJ and Naomi/Cook.But hey, that's normal with me(not that I like it,it's really sad when I don't see my fave couples ending up together, and I might even say 'I hate Effy!' if she end up chosing Cook, which,I hope, won't happen!).And please, don't call me a homophobic,'cause I'm not.I absolutely love Maxxie! It's just that...JJ is adorable with Ems *-* and watching a girl/girl relationship is pretty boring since I apreciate seeing boys on screen haha Laughing
If there are any rad fans here, please try to understand my point before judging how wrong I am about the real magic of Skins haha

BTW,it's a fantastic show and I miss this whole craziness in normal series uahsuah and my favourite characters are Effy,Freddie,Panda,JJ,Maxxie,Tony,Michelle,Jal,Anwar,Cassie and Pandora's mom Smile so few, right?
