What do think about him - like as a person - outside of him and Clary and Jace. Just Simon in general.

I was kind of annoyed by him at first but when you think about it that is how somebody in his position would act in real life.

Annoyed - agitated - having sudden and strong urges to jump into the book and kick him - that's how I felt in the beginning about him

But once we got into CoA he started to grow on me. You do have to admit that he does have some great one liners through out the books

You can't help but love what comes out of his mouth. Words-wise, I mean.

I have to say I adore Simon... Maybe not with Clary as her love interest, but in general, just Simon... I love him. Now I haven't quite finished CoA yet, but I still find him very entertaining.

I personally LOVE Simon. I think he just seems like a real nce guy but in CoA at the end I wanted to shoot him. I hope he can regain his carefree humor so I won't have to kick him in the Shin if he does anything else mean to Clary . But he does bring comic relief to a somewhat serious situation.

I love Simon. I've always loved him from the very beginning. I can't help it. I feel for him. He's loved Clary so much and for so long...

Not that I want him and Clary to be a couple(because I don't), but my heart goes out to him. Just as my heart goes out to Alec. The people they love most will never be able to love them back in the same way. That sucks for them!!!

Simon is hilarous, great best friend material. Not to mention very loyal and, considering all he has been through, pretty mature in how he is dealing with the onslaught of change. Sure, I'm frustrated with him sometimes. But overall, I think he's been doing good considering everything.

And now he's a vamp and is going to live forever...while Clary grows old, his family will grow old, everyone he loves will die(well, except Magnus!). But he'll live on...

Oh no! not another Twilight situation! Geez.... Poor kid!

Simon is AMAZING. I'm sorry to say that I was pretty psyched when he turned into a vampire, I don't know why it's just that whole nerd thing coming out again.

Completely agreed. Jace is really abnormal, as is Clary. We all know that he's not a normal Shadowhunter. If he was, clearly he wouldn't be as badass as he is. Simon just lucked out and got to drink the blood of a badass. Period.

Simon walks the day once more! It totally is a blood thing no lie.... I think that there is something to say for the willingness with which it was given as well... It was so out of love that there has to be some bond formed even if it was out of Jace's love for Clary

Yeah, it could just be that Jace gave his blood willingly. Valentine seemed pretty shocked by that move on the ship. Hmm...
