I only read the first book and I'm reading City of Ashes in english, and for what I know about Simon yet, I like it. I think he is very cute and his love about Clary is so sweet.. but I prefer Jace u.u

i dnt rele like simon...he does get a little better in CoG but he is not my favorite character. personally, i think he tries to be too amazing and is way too jealous of jace. otherwise i guess he is okayyy

seriously?!?! okay the jealous of jace part i can understand, but he I don]t think he]s trying to be too amazing, I think he]s just too adorable, simon was the source of most of the humour in the entire book series according to me.

er... i don't know about the "adorable" part or the humor part rele. Jace had way more smart remarks and Simon was just getting in the way alot.

He did get in the way... but that was the whole point of Simon in the first place. He added so much to the plot. Without him the whole book would be nothing.

...... depends what you mean by nothing.

By the end of CoB, I wanted Simon DEAD. I hated that idiot. When he didn't die all those constant times I was pissed.

Why? Because he kept interphering with everything!! He was just so annoying and needy and whiny and guuuuh. I guess it wasn't really simon's fualt, I just really hate super weak human characters. It bothers me.

But then, in CoG, when he was in no way at all between Jace and Clary, I started to really like him. When he had to go do that thing that was necesary to do, I was ligit worried about him, and I didn't want him to die.

SO his getting in the way was the most annoying thing in the world, but I do admit, I really did like him in the end. When he stopped being super duper needy and weak and could take care of his own hide. =)

And actually, it wasn't simon on his own that really made him funny. About 60% of all the jokes in the books [more so in CoG] were made when they were bouncing off of Jace and Simon together.

Ya, by the end of CoG i did like him a little. Even though he wasn't my favorite character still, he had more of a purpose. It wouldn't have been complete without him but in CoB and CoA he was horrible. He did get better jokes in the end too.

meh, he\s compared to jace alot. But one would sortof understand him, he\s known clary a long time and he wants whats best for her, even if it means questioning her decisions, although I\ll admit alot of times it was becuz we wanted clary and couldn\t have her.

CoG-Simon wasn't as good as CoB & CoA-Simon (what happened to your beautiful sense of humor S? ) but I still liked him.

I reeeeeeally wanted to know who Simon saw when Clary drew that rune that made everyone see the person they loved most in the world. We found out who Luke, Alec, Jocelyn saw...hell we even found out who Amatis saw but noting about Simon I was mad like hell!!!

He didn't even get some love. No Maia who was crazy over him, didn't even hit it off with dreamy Isabelle who suddenly got the hots for him.

Not to mention we didn't get to see him kick some ass during the fight!

I get that most of the fans are more interested in Jace and Clary but they are not the only characters. I wanted Magnus, Alec and Simon and got very disapointed when I didn't get any.

When Clary realises she misses the old Simon, i was like, "yeaaah me tooo (T.T)"...i'm not sure I like vampire Simon...


but then Raphael went all "a true vampire realises he's dead" and thats when it hit me. Simon's dead. I mean, Simon is DEAD.

yeah, i know, it's a bit dead to realise this now, but I mean, he's never gonna change, he's gonna see clary n jace n the others grow old and die... hum, now I think about it, that's probably Magnus's condition too, only Fab Mag has nothing normal about him so it doesnt bother me all that much...

but anyway, he DId hit it off with Izzy... a little... ^^

oh, and I think it's pretty obvious he saw Clary, btw. doesn't she imply Simon didn't seem to notice a change when she drew the rune or something? (I'd check but my copy of CoG is currently on holiday with a friend so...lol)

I Love, love, love, love LOVE Simon. He's awesome. He always does make me smile. I love the scene in CoA with the stolen coffee. "Did you pay for these?" "Yeah, I make dollar bills magically appear in the cash register." "Really?" "No." He's a good person and so cute.

And I have a thing for vampires (Angel... Spike... Kraven.. Michael Corvin is lycan and vampire so I guess that counts haha) I don't know why. I just love vampires haha.

But, anyway, He's a sweet character, and he's so nice. (And from how I picture him, attractive. I pictured him kinda tall, skinny, pale 'cause of the vamp thing, dark curly-ish hair, glasses, nice face) And unlike Jace, he isn't an @$$.

and I agree with whoever said Simon should be like "Eat your heart out Jace. I'm a vampire." Becuase really, even when he was human, he PWNS Jace to Mars. (Does that make sense? It did to me.)

Haha, I agree about the favorite character and wanting a real Simon. Hopefully we'll both find our Simons lol
