| This is where we are going to post all of our crack pot ideas and theories about what's going to happen to Simon in CoG.
Off the top of my head at the moment I'm wondering if he's even going to be in the last book much - I mean he doesn't really have much of a reason to follow anyone to Idris. Before he used to follow Clary around because he was infatuated with her, but now his affections are diverted, so I don't really see him even going along.
Plus the fact that I'm pretty sure that most other Shadowhunters would kill him for being what he is on site - just my theory of the moment tho. |

| I think there was some discussion between Meggle, my aunt, and myself, of Simon "coming out of the coffin" and realizing he loves Jace. I don't like to think about Simon all that much, because he mostly makes me angry, but I think there might be some nice vampire/werewhore action with him and Maia...although I would be happier if she weren't around to waste our time. |

| I happen to like Simon and I know a lot of people don't. But, I think that he is going to be important in the next book. Either in the battle or in the end, who knows. But the fact that he ends up in the city of glass means something because downworlders aren't allowed there so issues shall arise I'm interested to see what they are |

| Or maybe he's going to be important just to die - that's another theory of mine - there's another theory. Because for some reason he's the one that I think will bite the dust - maybe he's saving Isabelle or something using his super vamptastic powers and ends up getting killed - but I just don't foresee him making it through the book.
At least not at the moment I don't... |

| well, he needs blood, so in prison they wouldn't provide that so maybe he'll starve to death |

| Yes, I don't believe that dear Simon will fair well in prison. As much as I think that he is awesome, he isn't a big strong Shadowhunter, (like Jace.) I agree that he may also meet his end in City of Glass. Look how many times he's almost been killed! (Zoom in on when the vampires attack him.) He actually is killed once, then Jace revives him. Is that not foreshadowing to the extreme? Or maybe Simon is coincidentally death prone. |

| OMG FINALLY someone else who sees things from my perspective - I just don't see him making it out of Idris alive, he's come far to close far to many times. Plus someone always has to die that's very close to the main character in books like these, and who better than Simon, he's basically apart of Clary, so it would tug at our heart strings. Plus regardless of Jace's dislike for him I think he'd also be somewhat unhinged by Simons death. It's almost inevitable really *shrugs* and it just makes sense, at least to me.... |

| ...... Although I cannot convey in words how wrong I think you are...... this brings up possabilities. You kow how you guys keep saying that Max will die to give Jace and Alec and Isabelle and extra push so that they will kill Valentine? Well what if Simons death gives Clary and Jace an extra push so they could put aside the fact that they're related and become a COUPLE.....? Would that make sense? I don't know...... But anywho I don't think he'll die. Exactly ! He evaded death so many times! Because that's the type of character he is! He just can't die! [or stay dead] There is one of those characters. The annoying loser who no matter how many complications he causes for the main character, no matter how many timeshe has his butt rescued, he is gonna keep it up because he just. wont. die. But we shall see. I personally wouldn't mind it if he died, but I just don't think he will. |

| Simon? Die? those words don't really mesh... I mean it's so odd that someone who was always seen as such a burden and so weak would be able to persist like him but he has some supernatural life drive he just can't call it quits. _________________ Carpe Vitam.

| I was on another form in which Cassandra Clare was answering questions and someone asked: " How are you going to resolve the issue of Simon never growing old when it comes to his family? He is only sixteen, and they will start to suspect sooner or later." and then she replied: "That's why Clary wants him to tell his mom so badly. (Simon's dad is not around.) Of course if he dies in the third book, it's sort of moot anyway. " Augh! What??? It seems to me she is pretty much inferring Simon will die. Though I don't want him to die, I don't wqant him to come between Jace and Clary either. |

| There's no telling exactly what will happen to Simon. I don't hate him tho enough to wish him death. It would be interesting to see something happen between him and Maia. As for him being able to withstand sunlight, maybe there's something in Jace's blood that made that happen. Hmmmm.... Jules |

| He dies. It's pretty obvious that he's the sacraficial lamb through out the whole series and, personally, I think it's going to be one of those 'He takes someone's punishment/death for them." Probably Jace. But, *sigh* It's just a theroy. |

| Yeah, I am actually really starting to see it now. He would be just the character to die. He's been the burden for so long, the weak one, the stuoud mundie blah blah. And then bam, he saves Isabelles, or Jace's life. I can see it. I can see him totally dying, but honorably, you know? I can see it. |
