Does anyone think that Valentine and Jocelyn still feel some sort of love for each other anymore? Or that one does but the other doesn't?

I think it's a possibility, but I wouldn't be a hundred percent sure. Maybe Valentine is gone to evil and weird to be in love, and maybe Jocelyn hates Valentine too much now....

If they were still in love it might be interesting to see how Valentine reacts if he sees Jocelyn up from her coma. Anyway, what does everyone think of the Valentine/Jocelyn ship?

Well, in my personal opinion in all things involving love, there will never be a time when you are fully out of love for someone if you truly did love them. The case of Valentine and Jocelyn is slightly complicated, sure, but I honestly think that there might still be love there. Who knows what Jocelyn is feeling seeing as how she's been in a spell induced coma for how long now? haha In any event, we don't even know who's hair she wept over. I think because she never spoke of Valentine to Clary shows there's not a large amount of affection for him, partly from fear. That fear might also be in part of the fact that she might give in to him because of that love she still has for him. Who knows. Valentine might still be in love with Jocelyn, though it's uncertain. It's a great possibility, though.. which is why I freaking LOVE these books.

Hmm. I don't really think either love each other... I never got that vibe.

I didn't get much of a vibe either, but from all the stuff that Cassandra pulls on me where I go, "wait what?!" I mean, anything is flipping possible. Who the frick knew that Simon was gonna all of a sudden be Super Vamp? Or any of the other crazy stuff that went down. I mean, really. There's no way I can predict a lot of things, there's so much she can do with it. Who knows, maybe there will be such a huge hatred between them that Jocelyn will go ape shit on his ass and PWN. Maybe I'm dead wrong, the only person that knows is Cassandra.

I'm thinking that deep down, Valentine still loves Jocelyn. I don't know, I feel like the fact that he didn't kill her immediately after he kidnapped her showed that. And also, he already had the cup when Hodge stole it from Clary, so why didn't he kill her then?

I think that he didn't really want to kill her. Because he still feels something. Just not something that Jocelyn would want. most likely.

but then again, who knows? I hardly ever see something coming in this series. And that's saying something, because I'm usually really good at guessing what will happen. *shrug*

I still think Valentine has feelings for Jocelyn, because, like said before, he didn't kill her.

But then theres the whole possibility that he didn't kill her to lure Clary. hmm...

I'm not sure if he was surprised to see her either, and I can't check because I don't have the book with me at the moment, but in the Downworlders forum in the ask Cassandra Clare part someone asked her about Jocelyn and Valentine and she said that we are shown in parts of the books that Valentine does feel something for Jocelyn, but we'll have to wait and see how Jocelyn may feel if she wakes up from her coma.

Yeah, Valentine probably does still feel something for Jocelyn. I doubt anything too huge, but significant enough. Jocelyn might still feel a bit, but after everything, seriously, she might still feel a tinge of attachment, but really small. 'Cause with everything that went on, I don't htink I can see how ANYONE could feel ANYTHING positive for him....

For some reason, I can see him really loving her a lot without showing it. because he's such an intense person. he has a lot of powerful emotions that he keeps in check. you can just tell in the books.

so maybe he still really loves her, but the resentment of her leaving/'betraying' him supresses it.
