This is a me-thing. I just love putting songs to everything. I know on some sites, they already have playlists like these, but when I discovered them, my computer wouldn't open up the server. -.-

Anyway, what songs have you heard that fit MI?

I haven't had time to really take a look at my music and MI, but here's a brief rundown of what I have already.

Some parts of "Sorrow" by Flyleaf remind me a LOT of Magnus, but it's not a very good fit for the most part. "All I Need" by Within Temptation could work for a lot of characters, but I like putting it to Magnus or Alec. It could also work for Jace, Simon, or maybe even Clary if I stretch my limits a bit.

It's getting late, and half my ideas just slipped away. xD I'll sit down with my mp3 player tomorrow and think about this. While I'm awake. -stumbles off to bed-

I'm trying to come up with a playlist for CoB, chapter by chapter and everything, but I'm seriously stuck on Chapter four.

I'd type up the list right now, but it's in my room and I'm not supposed to be on the computer for a few days. I got in trouble....

I just for some reason really want to include the song Everything You Want, by Vertical Horizon. It would partially fit, I guess, and I just really like the song. I can sorta see it going with Jace being internally depressed over Clary with Simon. You know, how it's like, "He's everything you want.....but he means nothing to you and you don't know why." could be Jace thinking about how even though Clary and Simon are together in CoA, Clary isn't in love with Simon. And when it goes "I'm everything you want....But I mean nothing to you and I don't know why." is Jace thinking about how he THINKS Clary doesn't love him like he loves her and how she just 'Wants a sibling relationship' but he wants more.

Ok, I need to take a moment to mope because I just remembered the CoA epilogue in Taki's.

I think it describes the Clary/Jace retionship perfectly!
The last line is "I know you want me to want you, I want to." Um Hello? that line describes the Clary/Jace relationship. So go listen to it!!

SmashingCinderella, I considered a lot of those songs (EVANESCENCE AND FLYLEAF AND WITHIN TEMPTATION AND DISTURBED -dies from the love- <3333) but couldn't find any similarities. But hey, I'm a video maker so I'm a bit too picky about my songs matching. And I always try to match my songs with someone. xD
I had some ideas while trying to sleep last night that I scribbled down.

For Jace, Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin totally clicked, but it really could fit with loads of the characters. A totally sweet Magnus/Alec (or Jace/Clary, if you like) song is You by Breaking Benjamin. Still going with Breaking Benjamin, I thought Breath also fit Jace and Clary really well.
For Jace and Simon (which remains an incredibly sexy pairing) I thought of two Daughtry songs: Crashed and It's Not Over. (Both of which would also work for Magnus/Alec. Or possibly Jace/Clary.)
I don't even know why, but for some reason Alec and If Everyone Cared by Nickelback worked for me. (Or I just love this fanfiction too much.) Bleed by Evanescence for Jocelyn (about Valentine), and Before the Dawn by Evanescence for Jace and Clary. Also, a song for any member of the Circle or Jace could be Angels by Within Temptation, about Valentine.
In general, Light up the Sky by Yellowcard fits for basically any shipping, as does Breathe Into Me by Red (although that is a sexy Jace/Simon song <3 Gimme your blood, breathe into me... it's all on the same level xD) and Stand My Ground by Within Temptation, well, let's face it, it could basically work for everyone.

EDIT: ZOMG I just listened to 'Our Truth' again, and you're right - awesome awesome MI song. And awesome song in general. 'Heaven's a Lie' by the same group works as well.

I'm also thinking about the song Seperate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey for the scene in Taki's. Well, not the scene, persay, more like the emotions that may have run through Jace and/or Clary's minds during/after the scene. It would kinda work. For example:

Someday love will find you (Jace trying to mentally convince himself that Clary will be able to find someone she can have an unhidden relationship with)
Break those chains that bind you (I don't know, but it emphasizes the first line, so it can only help!)

And went our separate ways (From 'One night' to this line, it's pretty perfect. I don't really know how to explain it, but it just does, depressingly enough.)

And went our separate ways (Basically that Jace will always love Clary-obviously-and will always care about him. Also that he will be there if Clary ever wants to go back to him. Which of course she DOES, except Jace doesn't quite know that.)

I'll try and finish up the playlist I'm making. I might give up doing the chapter-by-chapter playlist and just do a whole jumble and name what reminds of what. It would be easier, come to think of it....Oh well. I'll decide later.

I have a facination with reading with playlists - so I will go through maybe today/tonight and tomorrow and see if I can't get a playlist of the songs I listen to when reading CoB & CoA

Damn, you're all good. All I've got is, and don't shoot me, but Queen's The Show Must Go On made me think of the Shadow World and all the people in it. Especially Magnus (Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking, but my smile still stays on).

Oh, and Sacred by Tokio Hotel. It's a Jace/Clary pairing song. Also Forgotten Children and Don't Jump are good ones for this series.

Forgot one. Alive (In Your Memory) from The Crow: Wicked Prayer. It would be perfect if Alec died in CoG and, IDK, sort of haunted Magnus and Jace off and on.
