Coldplay - Viva la Vida

So I listened to the new coldplay album today as I'm a huge fan I was pretty excited. As some the reviews I've read about the ablum...it is a different direction for the band. But I kind of dig and I like when bands branch out and try things differently (in a good way).

My favorite songs are Cemeteries of London, Viva la Vida, and Death and all his Friends.

So anyone else like coldplay...chime in!

The new ablum offically comes out June 17th

I love Coldplay, but I haven't had a chance to listen to the new album... I have heard Viva la Vida and Violet Hill... Violet Hill is "eh..." for me but I like Viva la Vida...

My favorite Coldplay song would have to be The Scientist though...

It's different and I think it needs some time to listen to. I read an article saying that their first three albums were like a trilogy. So this new album will be a little different from the rest, kind of like a new story. The new album has a lot more instrumental parts to it compared to their past albums. Once you listen to it let me know what you think and we can discuss more Smile

I love Coldplay! I listen to their music a lot when I'm writing. And I really like the new direction they are taking with this new album. Good stuff.

I'm still unsure if I like their new direction, but i'm leaning towards good. I feel that they're succesful and have produced good stuff so if they want to experiment then that's cool. They've sold enough records/concerts and can do what they want.

Displeased about what?! The CD, or it comming out? And If so, what about the CD do you dislike?

I personally think it is getting too much hype than it is worth. Yes, I love Coldplay and I love their new album, but still. They are not that good to deserve so much attention. It's like Kaylle said, people are acting as if they are the nevxt Nervana.

I've been a fan of coldplay since their first album, Parachute, and it's good to hear they're going in a little different of a direction with the new album. This album doesn't have a boat load of singles like the last few albums. I know they're really popular, but it doesn't mean it can't be good. I'm a huge Coldplay fan, so i'm probably a little biased lol. So, to each his own Smile

I think I just don't like Coldplay I mean I could put on any of their songs and it sound the same to me

I love Coldplay,and no I don't agree all their songs have a different meaning to me Viva La Vida is an awesome album.My favourite songs are Violet Hill,Viva La Vida and Lovers in Japan.

I love this album insanely. My favorites are Violet Hill, Death and All His Friends, and Cemetaries of London.

Their lyrics are very visual, I love it.

OMG, I have got to say that I have always, absolutely HATED Coldplay, but the second I heard Viva la Vida... I fell in love. Simple as that.

Hmm, I never liked Coldplay. Ever. They always got on my nerves.
But my friend made me listen to her Viva La Vida CD and I was amazed! It's really, really, good. I still don't like their old stuff, but Viva La Vida is made of win. xD
