I thought Mirrors looked a bit... stupid. Was it? but that's just me. I think most 'scary movies' look stupid. classic horror movies have it down. they knew how to do it back then. now its all about gore.that's not scary. that's just bleh. but anyways, Mirrors. was it really all that great? just curious.

See I like how in the old movies, they scared you with silence. it was suspenseful because you had no clue what would happen. now, scary movies scare you with music and blood. i find the unknown more scary. because in movies now, there's music, then silence. and the silence tells you something's going to happen. then it does with a loud burst of music. predictable, you know?but in the classics, there wasn't much music and it left you guessing. But that's just me. I really don't want to sit there and watch a girl pulling and cracking her mouth apart. heh.I liked The Village, which a lot of people thought was a copout. but it was more like the classics and had a cool surprise ending. oops, I'm turning this into a scary movie conversation. Mirrors anyone? haha

I liked that movie quite a bit. x3 They showed it at two in the morning or something like that once, and I had to stay up to watch the whole thing. <3 There were some parts of it that could have been better done, but I still enjoyed it.
Anyway, I wanted to see this but my mother was determined to keep me from doing so, and then I read some reviews and it wasn't rated too great, so I haven't seen it. xP I'm also a sucker for horror films, and I must admit Mirrors did sound kind of cool. I haven't seen many horror films, though, seeing as I'm a teenage only child and my parents are wimps, so I can't really say whether I like classic horror or modern horror more (although I think I'd like classic more. Most of those trailers for modern horrors have me rolling my eyes). _________________ "And that there." Magnus said, looking across the room at Will. ^that's what mirrors is for me in my opinion. Oh, and the strangers. I was in the theartre for Prom Night, and one of the trailers was for the strangers, and I was just like "Can't you movie writers think of anything else?" |

[to all of you] yeah but you know its when you think you know whats going to happens makes you scared of it...you know someones going to pop out and kil that person, which makes it so much better because when it happens your still like "HOLY !#$@" i dont care for old classics...they dont bring me into it, i realy like the mystery scary movies especially gore ones, and lots of gross things happen... i reccomend you watch "The Carver" you guys might like it...check it out at httt://www.ninjavideo.net download DivX Web Player...open up the NinjaVideo Helper. and watch! its simple and the movie is amazing quality

I like the not knowing what will happen, because that's how it really is. If someone is about to murder you, there isn't theme music playing in the background haha.so the older movies capture the essence of horror better, in my opinion at least. If you think gore is scary, then that's good for you because that's all 'horror' movies are now haha. but gore is just an excuse to make something disgusting. and yeah, murders are full of gore.but seeing blood fly around doesn't scare me. it makes me cringe and laugh. Is mirrors gory? it didn't look like it.but I'm not the one to judge on this because i don't like scary movies as they are now.

it was somewhat gory... just when the guy slit his throat, the girl ripped her jaw off, and the demon took over someone and turned them into some weird creture which freaked me out. i think because of how to show the "teaser trailers" it really brings people into thinking they are going to be pretty good horror movies. But its the ones that dont premiere in theatres i think are the best. because not many people know about them so they can do whatever they want without getting in trouble
