| I liked this movie, mostly for the music, I mean the movie it self was pretty good. But I thought the musical score was just absolutely amazing, but I might be slightly biased since I'm a huge Beatles fan and grew up listening to their music. Plus I just thought the placement of the songs was pretty good and it was just nice to see some of them put to the point that the songs were about.
Like with Happiness is a Warm Gun (one of my favorite Beatles songs), the context that song is used in was pretty much the what the song was written about. I just thought little touches like that made the movie amazing. I mean the director could have totally ruined all of it by just randomly placing the songs where ever she felt like but I think she did a really amazing job with the song placement.
Plus it also introduced a new generation to the Beatles, which I think is something great all in itself. As I have/had friends who didn't know who The Beatles were and this movie introduced them and opened their eyes to the wonders of old music. And well I can't hate anything that keeps The Beatles legacy moving and keeps introducing them to a new generation. I mean sure you hear there music ever where, but if you didn't know it was them already you would just think it was another song on a commercial.

| You know what's so great about it though? All of the hidden references in it I mean if you pay attention to the dialogue it's really masterful. _________________ Carpe Vitam.

| I think it was one of those movies that's good for everyone but amazing for people with a background. _________________ Carpe Vitam.

| Yeah...this movie pretty much rocks. My favorite scene was the whole I Am The Walrus bit. It's my dream to own a bus like that. |

| I am utterly in love with this movie. Some many of my favorite Beatles songs were introduced to me through this movie and I love all the hidden references in the script and in the character's names and personalities. And, while I personally prefered Joe Anderson to Jim Sturgess in this movie, they both are amazingly good-looking. And JS *is* my Alec. But he's too old. =( |
