Jace is complicated. I mean, I am in love with him completely. His sarcastic banter is endearing, he's sweet at times, and he's H O T!!! But, also, there are times when I'm like "What a jerk" or "why the hell would he say that, the ass!!!" I don't know what reaction I would have if I met him in real life. Probably something like Maia's, something like "Oh, he's hot, he must be trouble then." I mean, in reality, what guys are really out there that are both completely gorgeous AND have a perfect personality??? (no offense to any guys out there reading this )
But, I still love him, and am ignoring those moments when he's an ass.

I LOOOOVE him!! He's funny, witty, and charming (and HOTT). But I agree, sometimes its lke "Wtf?! Why did you say that stupid!" but i love him:) I have to agree with Isabelle on this one:
Clary: Tell me, is he always really rude or does he save that for mundanes?

there were clues and they didnt bother to look into them.
although i guess it made for a more exciting story.

Yeah, they should have figured it out sooner, but I agree, it did make for a better story. I think everyone who read the book knew that they wouldn't end up to be siblings, but it's nice to actually read it in black and white as proof that they are not brother and sister.

I hate Jace! He's an @$$, got serious problems with with ego, anger issues and hurts people around him. And he's so overprotective of Clary, it's annoying. Another thing that annoys me, in CoA when the demon thing rips his Jacket when Clary was wearing it, then flies off carrying her, he's like "My Jacket! I loved That jacket!" (Thaat's the real Quote, too) Shouldn't he be more worried about Clary than a f***ing piece of clothing? At least SIMON would be. lol.

in the quote 'He would pick a fight with a Mack Truck if the urge took him' Well, let's say I hoped that would happen, and the truck would win.

I like Jace. I love his bitter sarcasm and he can be really defensive and he doesn't really like showing weakness or sharing his feelings, which I can really relate to.

But he sometimes hurts people he cares about with that. well, almost always, actually

He does it to punish himself usually though. Like he doesn't wanna get too close to anyone. It's not like he randomly thinks "I'm gonna be an ass today, just for fun."

But he is an odd soul.
He is so tortured and tormented and just a little bit strange
But on the other hand he is super sweet and super nice to Clary (at times)
I love his sarcasm and humour - its so unexpected

But he also sometimes hurts people he cares about. (ex: in City of glass when he yells at Clary)

yeah he tends to be nice and mean at the same time
i think he hurts the people he cares about because of his own insecurities - or he is just a mean guy lol
