PostSubject: Who wants to do me?   Sun Aug 17, 2008 9:43 pm

Hey all.

I'm Sarah [no cool nickname because Sarah is just about the most boring name in existance--I'm just glad my last name isn't "Jones"]. Nice to meet you all on this luverly forum!

About me? Hmm...I like books that make me think, like The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, or You Don't Know Me, by David Klass. I'm absolutely in LURVE with Harry Potter and its entire fandom, including fanfiction and fanart and podcasts and all that delectable stuff. I wrote a few fanfiction a long, long time ago in seventh grade, and...yeah. Nice end to the sentence, but that's just how interesting I am. I also love Artemis Fowl and the Bartimaeus Trilogy, and anything else by Jonathan Stroud, because he's an absolute genius. I do not like Twilight. I read the first one, and that was more than enough for me. I also do not like Eragon, it's all such a huge rip off from everything that it makes me angry.

And, of course, I read the Mortal Instruments series. Durrrrr.....*whispers*magnusismyfavoritecuzhessosohot*clears throat*

I like music like Green Day [Billie Joe is my idol], My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Fort Minor [Mike Shinoda is another one of my idols] and a bunch of other bands I can't think of at the moment, because whenever I try to think of stuff like that it always evades my mind.

I like using phrases like "YOUR MOM" in response to...well...anything. It always works, no matter the context. Or, as J.D. says in Scrubs: "So's your face."

*sigh* Anything else? Hummm....Yeah, I really am that boring. I spend my days sleeping and reading and surfing the internet and having one way e-mail conversations with my friends in America (I'm currently located in Israel--not as cool as you might think, nor as dangerous).

i also hate it wen ppl spek in abbrevs and w/no punctuation or speling or watevs it drives me crzy

Like the Britney Spears song. cyclops

Aww, that's a cute smiley! Go cyclopses. And vampires. And werewolves [Remus Lupin is my favorite Harry Potter character]. And all other supernatural beings that should exist, but alas, do not.

Alas.

Earwax.

And now that I've rambled on for far too long, I shall take my leave. I probably won't post that much around the site, because I...I dunno, I forget these things. But I'll try my hardest.

*waves*
HELLO AND WELCOME!!!

*reads introduction and nods*
Not to shabby if I do say so myself - thus you get a.....
SMILIE BOUNCING A WAFFLE Basketball - that smilie is made of win, there's no arguement...

*makes note to not talk to this person about Twilight*
I don't expect the whole world to like the books - and I get it that they are not for everyone - but you get an A+ for effort, unlike some of the haters who've never even attempted to read the books and just hate them.

I wasn't so much into books that really made me think - at least not real life situations type of thinking, since I normally read to escape my reality, not to think more about it *laughs and nods* But I do LOVE Looking for Alaska, which says that my tastes may be changing, since that bood is very much based on real life things. And very real situations. *takes down books talked about and adds them to list of books to buy* I'm always reading *nods*

Well I hope to see you around Smile

Well, hi! =D Welcome to the forum. Have fun discussing... with all us crazies... o.o
You remind me a lot of me. (xD "I think that's a fraction." "YOUR FACE IS A FRACTION!") Yeah, we're all pretty much... interesting. So you'll fit in here. xD
See you around!

EDIT: Although most people I get along with like Lupin. And he was my least favorite HP character. I'm going to shut the hell up before I get eaten now.

Just for that, dear - BIG MUCHO BROWNIE POINTS. I dunno why, but you do. Anyways, herro! I'm Katy and I really want to read The Book Thief because my friend told me about it. He was reading it while we were spending some time overseas. He loved it but I don't know much about it. Can I ask a favor and ask you what it's about.. please and thank you? haha

Anywho, I just wanted to stop in and give you a quick welcome. I'm glad you're here and ENJOY.

Hello, hello. I'm Elizabeth and it's lovely to meet you. Since I won't be seeing you around much I guess I'll just give you a big welcoming paragraph because for me "hello, I'm Elizabeth, nice to meet you" is plenty of a welcome. Call me antisocial, pssst it's true. Just ask my one friend and the people I see everyday when I go for 7 mile walks alone in the park.

Well see now I've exhausted my hospitality, I'm a boring person also. Drab clothing is my fab.

Ok, well:

Hello, I'm Elizabeth, nice to meet you

Hiya, I'm Mick!
You Don't Know Me is a wonderful book. I've tried to get a few people to read it and they didn't like it, but I can't understand why. I loved it.

Green Day is really spiffy. I love their older albums to death. They make me dance like the white girl I am. bounce

Welcome!

First with the name...I like the name Sarah lol. I have an aunt named that and that chick from Labyrinth has it so, yes, I like it. Razz My name on the other hand is horrible. My name is Angèlique. Now first thing that is wrong with it is that no one ever says it right. Well, mostly no one. I had one person say it right and it was a miracle. But the one thing I don't like is the fact the nickname I get is Angel...I hate that so much. Thus why I have adopted the name Cat.

Okay onto the books thing. It is okay that you don't like Twilight. I can see why you don't since I have moments when I question why I even like it. As for Eragon...saw the movie and was confused...plus I wasn't even interested in the books before I saw the movie.

What's next? Ooo nice bands. Names I recognize, well except the last one. I may know songs of the latter one, but I don't know their names nor am I able to connect the songs with a band. Trust me that is one of those skills I fail at. Majorly. Kaylee is working on fixing that along with placing in my mind a million other bands (such as McFly and Mindless Self Indulgence which she has made me love Very Happy)

And YES! Another "Your Mom" and "So's, your face" person. I love you already haha. My brother hates me for those phrases since I also like using them for a response to anything. lol. Especially when he says something is gross...I mean really! How can I not follow up with "so's your face." I've tried not to...doesn't work so well Razz.

First, quick response to Katy, who asked about The Book Thief.

It's set in WWII Germany, and is told from a unique point of view. Not to give anything away, it's basically this person/thing narrating the book and telling the story of this girl, Liesel, who is about 10 (she grows up during the book) and living in the midst of Nazi Germany. She's part of the Hitler Youth thing, and all her friends are as well, even if they're not all such devout Nazis. Her father, Hans, is definitely not on the Nazi side, and decides to help this Jew, Max, escape from it all. So they hide Max in their basement. I like the book because first of all, it's written in a very unique style (read Markus Zusak's other books as well!), and secondly, it's told from the German's perspective, where most Holocaust/WWII books are told from the Jew's POV. As I myself am Jewish, I find this very refreshing.

Anyway. Thank you all for welcoming me so nicely! Everyone here seems really cool and nice. And it's not like Mugglenet, which is so huge that no one knows anyone and you kind of get lost in it all.

Loki, I frown upon you for not liking Lupin. How dareth thou? But it's okay, I'm used to people not liking my favorite characters. Draco was a huge favorite of mine for a long time, and my friends couldn't understand it. I s'pose I just like Marauder Lupin, as he was, because in [most] fanfiction he's so sweet and nice and yet funny and just *huge sigh*....so gentlemanly. But if I had a choice of which Marauder I'd rather marry? It'd probably be James.

Yeah, I do that. I personalize them in my mind.

And Cat, I think Angelique is a name beyond awesomeness. It's so different! When I'm at the mall or something, and someone calls out "Sarah!", I turn around and they're talking to someone else. You wouldn't get that a lot with Angelique.

And dude, don't get me started about Green Day! [Too late...] I absolutely love almost all of their songs, but their American Idiot album is by far my favorite. Oh Billie Joe......

This dude Basketball is pretty talented if he can bounce a waffle. I tried this morning with breakfast. Didn't work.

I. Adored. The Book Thief. It was so great, words fail me. And that happens... infrequently.

Aha.. *coughmagnusismyfavoritetoobecausehowcanyounotlikesomeonethatsparklycough*

Hello my friend. I also have one of the most common names. Jessica.

Doesn't it suck being among the ranks of the common, boring, and faceless?

hahaha I feel your pain.

You know, I'm rather partial to this smiley:farao Like...it's not even necessary. But I like it for some reason.

I SHARE MY BIRTHDAY WITH JAMES POTTER, THAT MAKES ME AUTOMATICALLY COOL.

I like HP also. And I loved The Book Thief, I don't think I even cried that hard when.. well, when my favourite character in HP died. And that's saying something.

Welcome to the forum, anyway. I'm Amanda.

^That's so cool! =O I love James Potter. <3 LJ fanfiction is really the only kind I write, apart from the occasional RHr or random fic. Anyway.

Hey, Sarah! =) I had this welcome written out, and then my Internet decided to close all the open windows, so ... Now I have to re-write stuff, but I can't remember what I said. Fail.

Do you listen to wizard rock? You said you loved HP and podcasts and stuff, so I thought I'd ask. =)

Anyway, welcome and I hope you have fun! =)
