I recently came across these podcasts on ITunes, and I decided to re-read City of Ashes. I came across a couple of things I think would be interesting to discuss on your next show:

First, in chapter 9 (page 184) Clary is having a dream. Hot Coals were falling from the sky. One became Jace, "all in burning gold with his gold eyes and gold hair, and white-gold wings sprouted from his back..." The other became a dark haired boy with wings " black as midnight, and each feather was tipped with blood." She questions if it is Simon, but I wonder if this does not foreshadow Sebastian. It describes what we know of him to a T.

Secondly, in chapter 17 (page 351) Luke is talking to Clary about the Inquisitor's son, and his relationship with Valentine. Valentine made Stephan divorce his first wife (which actually seemed to be very upsetting to Luke in itself) and marry Celine. Some time later, Stephan is killed and his new bride commits suicide right after. The part I found interesting was Celine was 8 months pregnant at the time. All I'm saying is that a baby can be completely healthy if delivered at 8 months. Could that be Jace's birthright?

What do you think? Just wishful thinking? I'd like to see if any one else has seen that ot if I'm just totally nuts...
