No. No movie. I hope the book will never be placed into the hands of movie directors. I want my gosh dang TV series. Thats what I want. Because movies? you take a big red marker and go, "what can we cut out?" and in a TV series you go "people, lets go nuts." And thats why I want a series. Because there is WAYYYYYY too much awesomenesss to be contained in just a short 120 min flick.

I vote for a tv series too, books and comics made into movies these days usually don't turn out all that great, rushed scenes and not enough thickening of plot. But it is a rather popular book series, it doesn't seem TOO impossible, I've seen books far less popular than MI be made into books.

Anyway, TV series. Definatly a TV series. Then we could watch all the good parts and it wouldn't be rushed.

Yeah television series would be cool - lasts longer!
But it wouldnt be too bad if it was made into a movie, especially if Cassandra were to write the script - thats what the author of hunger games is doing!

I think it would be so cool if it was a series. But it wouldn't be a very long one tbh.
If it was made into a movie it would be so hard to cut things out cuz so much happens in every chapter that's important.

yeah, it was signed to be possible made a movie or something, so, there is a chance of it coming out as a movie (not very soon though)

i want it to be made a movie, but i also don't. i want it to be made coz it would be cool,

but i don't want it to be a movie, coz a movie ruins the books.

i mean, look at what it did to Twilight. i used to be OBSESSED then the movie came out and i'm pretty off it now. i'm not sure i could ever go off the Mortal Instruments though...

oh xD sorry off topic here. you know that link, I sort of misread it and thought it said fags at the end. I was like ....wtf?

And no, if properly made, movies wont ruin books, I thought the movie adaption to blood and chocolate was excellent, I alsolutely loved it. But on the other hand, the mythology to TMI is much wider, and if anything is left out, it will be sort of a bummer, but I'm secretly optimistic.

LOL I read "fags" too...

But I'm with Madd-Eye there, movies tend to completely ruin books... I HATED the Blood and chocolate movie so much I couldn't watch the whole of it, and the Golden Compass was an insult to Philip Pullman...

And Twilight? I'm not even gonna go there...

So, yeah, I think we all more or less want to see it onscreen, but we'd all be somehow disappointed... I think.
