OC = original character. I thought this fit into fanfiction better than anywhere else...
So, does anyone lovelovelove to create their own little characters that go in the MI world? I love doing it myself. It's a shame that there are so many Mary Sues out there - it's easy to accidentally make an OC into a sue - but some people actually create admirably realistic characters.

I try my best to make them believable, and I have a whole little cast of characters (most of which play parts in the way I imagine the story of Magnus's past). That's a total of 6 warlocks (yeah, I like them best; Autumn, Tora, and the Helms), a vampire (Ezra), a werewolf (Alice), and a Shadowhunter (Joel). I'm suddenly noticing a lot of really weird patters in my names... two of the Helms are Cassie and Clara. Cassie Clare. Cassandra Clare. Oops. xDD That was not intentional, I swear.
I'm also usually annoyed by the whole 'picking an actor or singer to portray your character' thing, but... I couldn't resist. -pokes avvie- That's Lacey Sturm, from Flyleaf. She's my Autumn. xP I was watching the video for Fully Alive and she just reminded me so much of her I just had to.

So... anyone else do this? Opinions?

I do! I actually have a few OC's just for MI. I have two Shadowhunters, Jolie Everard and Darian Nightwine and then I have two Downworlders, Siobhan the shape-shifting warlock and Emmet the werewolf. Well, so far, that's who I have . When I continue with my fanfic, more might show up. Haha.
But yeah, I dunno what it is about it, but I really like creating OC's.

I love making OC's but i only make one for a series it's easier to make a realy deep character.
My MI OC is December Morganstern (idk if i spelt that right but meh). She's a shadow hunter.. and Clary and Jace's cousin >.< soo much drama...

I think the best thing about making oc's is getiing to desing them, not just as characters but thier apperence too..

I agree with you. I love designing the appearances of my characters because, well, I can chose what they look like. I just like creating them. It's fun
