To start off, I must present a link to this lovely picture:
http://www.obeythepurebreed.com/images/chairman_meow_small.gifmy history teacher is obsessed with this image. He thinks is the most hilarious thing on the planet. I must say, I chuckled a bit.
Moving right along, about Alec and Jace, I think that what Jace says about Alec in the cookie is true. I just trust Jace’s connection with him to believe that Jace understand how Alec thinks and how he feels. I’m interested to see how the rest of the scene pans out. I know they won’t kiss (darn…) but hopefully something juicy will happen. I loved the discussion about these two characters. It's a really important and complex relationship and I love both of these characters.
Oh, another small detail. The contest that Cassie held last December was for 5 advance reader copies, or ARCs, of City of Ashes. The way the contest worked was that there were essentially 5 different contests. One was for a 200 word ficlet of a part of City of Bones from a different character’s perspective or a 200 word essay on why your ship was the best, 1 was for a piece of visual artwork, one was to take a picture of City of Bones in a unique location, one was a video contest of a trailer of scene from City of Bones and the last one was a miscellaneous category where you could do basically anything you wanted. You could enter as many contests as you wanted, but you could only enter each contest once. She picked one winner grand prize winner from each who won the ARC and a second and third place as well.
As far as whether or not Simon is a main character, I’m pretty sure that Cassie considers him a third lead. Of coarse, readers can interpret things like that however they want, I personally consider him a third lead as well.
As to who will die, Cassie says that a Lightwood is going to kick it in the third book. I seem to change my mind about who I think it is every other day.
That’s all I have to say, though I do want to say that this whole Breaking Dawn tour seems really lame. Like, I know they have the lead from Blue October and everything and it’s supposed to be this huge rock concert thing, but it seems so fake. There’s no intimacy whatsoever. There are even rules saying that she can’t talk to you, she can’t personalize anything, restrictions like that and I know it’s because she has so many fans and it’s just impractical, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s just seems impersonal. I’ve been to a lot of book signings and the best by far are the simplest ones.
Also, your guy’s bloopers went on forever, lol.
Great episode guys!
