Now that the inside cover is out -- do you think they'll try and get answers from Simon since he's imprisoned? I think it could be a definite possibility if they are really going to try and figure her out. It might be their only in (unless they're using the mysterious Sebastian).

ha, it's funny to think of Clary as a threat

Lol both of us think she'd make a good Clary. Her name is Karoline Herfurth and she is a German actress that I found pictures of while looking up random photobases for roleplaying characters, though I don't need one lol.

What really made me kinda iffy about Clary was a certain line in CoA. She says, "I was no longer going to ever speak to Jace ever again. Because it hurt Simon too much"

That made me soooooo mad. Does she not realize how much she is hurting Jace?!?! Like, poor Jace! That must have been awful! He is trying to talk to Clary and he completly doesn't understand when she starts giving him the cols shoulder. That was the only thing I didn't like about her. Other than that, she's cute, she's funny, and she makes the cutest couple with Jace!

The cover of CoG said that both Jace AND Clary were going to fight Valentine, so heck yeah she is going to have a part in killing him! I think she fights more of the deffense. Jace is the fighter, he can jump, and run and attack, Clary has a way with Runes. That's just the kind of team Cassandra made them out to be. Not everyone can be the hero. You know? So I like Clary. But she can be a total ass sometimes.

I think sometimes Clary's mundane upbringing is so obvious and also that she was raised different than Jace. With the whole mundane thing you see how she doesn't know how to react sometimes and she is really just kind of lost and confused. As for her being so different from Jace. (This is kind of in response to you Alaska) I think it's more that she is in the process of clinging to the past and what she knows because her mom is gone and she is being tossed into a world that she doesn't really understand. I mean though it seems like a longer time frame it's only been two weeks from the first page until now. And back on topic, Jace is clinging to the only person that he's ever really been close to where Clary's already formed ties and I think it's just the shadowhunter nature to be really protective and close and he thought it was time for that and it was kind of like a "wait a minute, what now? oh forget it I'm going to like her anyway" moment and I think for Clary she had people to fall back on and I think that's why I don't hate Simon. He was that support that force that kept Clary going when she was on the verge of a breakdown. Sometimes running to what you know is all you can think to do. Sadly she realized a little too late that she didn't care either.

The scene in Jace's room right before he went to take a shower and he told her that he didn't care and that it could be a secret that they were together was seriously the only time that I wanted to yell at her. But I get it I mean it must have been seriously freaky to have just found that out. And her whole world is just changing so fast I think she was at least a little lost and dazed in it all.

Right. THAT scene. Oh yeah..... [remembers how mad she was] that one.... lol. I was angry at the both of them. Like, Clary shouldn't have said that. Like... they were talking about Jace's love, and she didn't actually realize that until she said the wrong thing. Also, I was mad at Jace because he should have tried to look at it through her perspective, and Clary was looking at it from the outside. Like, she cared about what others thought around her, and Jace should have seen that.

Actually... when I was reading the books it almost seemed to me like Clary broke herself away from her world, and was finding great accuaintence with Jace in his world. She was leaning on Jace and she was fine, and then Simon was like..... this loose string that refussed to be leave. He became a burden in her new world because Jace had taken over Simon's job.

The only reason I actually hate Simon is because he came in the way of Jace and Clary coming together. That was it. I didn't care what happened with the three of them, all I cared about was that Simon was standing in the way.

SO sometimes Clary really pissed me off but all in all, I liked her.

I think you have to to read the books. I mean I've read books that I've hated the main character in but it was rough and that book doesn't look as pretty as my other ones

The thing that I really loved about Clary.... the thing seriously struck out at me was the fact that she was an artist. I read that and I was like "yes! Epic windome!!!!!!! >8D" Cause I have never before seen the main character being an artist. It was a total first and I was blown away. It's always a good feeling to be on common grounds as one of the major characters. Whether it be in feelings, situations, hobbies, or actions, it's just real nice to relate.

I love Clary! I just wish she had more confidence to tell Jace how she feels about him.

Well from what I've read of her so far (since I just started reading CoA-i know finally!) I like Clary.

I mean yeah right now she doesn't have the powers and understanding of what it means to be a Shadowhunter and yes she screams or whatever but she at least makes an effort to not back down, to try and be help in whatever mundane way she can for the moment.

Yes its killing me too to find out what will happen between her and Jace. In a way Jace and Clary's relationship to me mirrors Edward and Bella's. Its intense and good and you just want all the confetti and happy dance for them the whole way through.
