I couldn't agree more about the entire post above mine *flashing arrows* I also wanted to add something about the possibility of Jace being someone else's son, when the queen of Seelie told him to ask Valentine about the blood running through his veins and he did, all Valentine said was that it was Shadowhunter's blood....

Also, on page 417 of the hardcover edition of City of Ashes, when Valentine has Clary on the boat with him he says that Jocelyn was angry with him for turning her first child into a monster. Then Clary denies that Jace is a monster but Valentine says he wasn't talking about Jace! This means either Clary has another sibling or Jace isn't her brother!!! They can finally be together!

OMG Jaclyn, I was thinking the SAME THING when I read that, and it made me so freaking excited, because of course no one wants Jace and Clary to be related. And I think I was also going to mention the whole Seelie Queen person telling Jace about his blood etc, but I never got around to it.

OMG!!! How about Sebastien? I was just reading your post and then it hit me....Sebastien is Valentine's son and Jace is really Jace Wayland! That would make the whole forbidden brother/sister thing in between Jace and Clary forshadowing for the possible romance in between Sebastien (but obviously Jace and Clary are made for each other)....

I agree with the Isabelle theory. Not only because it would inspire Jace and Alec, but because it would also effect Clary, Isabelle is Clarys first real "girlfriend". In CoB it says that Clary has only really ever had one friend (simon), and that she didn't care too much that she didn't have more friends, she was always really comfortable with just Simon. But once she gets thrown into this world from one day to the next she starts feeling more at home and at first, ya Isabelle was a bit of a b**** but afterwards once Isabelle was mor comfortable with Clary, they really got along. And Clary and Isabelle had some real heart to heart talks and stuff, and although they still aren't BFF's they still respect one another.

I know that Clary is all gung-ho about getting the bad guy and waking up her mom, but i don't think she can completly detatch herself from everyone else. So Isabelle kicking the bucket could probably give her that extra little kick to go get Valentine and saving her mom.

She still has that damsel in distress complex but eventually she has to grow out of that and finally kick a little ass for herself without gettin caught.

That makes a lot of sense. If Isabelle dies in a battle I would have to say it's probably because she was trying to protect Alec.... I mean she would do anything for her big brother and he always protects her. She would probably be trying to return the favour!

But in City of Bones, Alec swore ON THE ANGEL that if Clary ever said anything to Jace about him being in love with him, he'd kill her.
You can't break an oath on the Angel.
What if Clary and Jace are talking about it (since Jace evidently knows already), and Clary says something? -shrugs- Just a thought.

I had another theory, but I don't wanna jinx myself, because I'd cry my eyes out if it actually happened. And it totally betrays my trust in Magnus.

idk, bout COG but my theories are this : jace n clary might end up together, magnus n alec my breakup cuz he stills loves jace n we knw he would do anything to protect jace from harm ( an edward in this story? umm?) n i get the feeling it might b him who dies or one of his parents. sebastian could be evil or not or just hitting on clary or trying to make jace jealous but probably end up with izzy or in aliance to valentine???? simon gets with maia clary's mom might wake up n b with luke or never wake up or just dies *** ouch! no scratch that. valentines dies bcause clary has the powers to make runes that could kill n cuz her power goes byond anyone realizes n so does jace. the clave will try to persuade clary to stay with them n b a high rank shadowhunter if she accepts n jace let her. the go back to NYC n live peacefully not exactly since they always would try to keep demons out the mundane world n protected from its evil.

To something jaclyn1016 said...He actually did not say that he had shadow hunter blood...he said he had the blood of The Angel. We know he was conducting experiments....and he also had the Cup while in Alicante. I think he created an Angel/Nephilim hybrid...basically not quite angels, but super shadowhunters. Also, CC mentions several times in the books that only Angels are supposed to be able to create new runes....which Clarey does. I do agree though that Clarey and Jace are not related (sick and illegal). This angel hybrid would also explain why Simon can walk in the daylight AFTER DRINKING JACE'S BLOOD. What I'm not sure is how he did it...Cloning? And remember that cookie where Jace finds something in a basement (or something) and is struck speechless...I think that is Christopher....experiments need to be perfected...jace and clarey?

Ok...#1) I'm 99% sure that Jace and Clary are NOT related. It always mentions that Jace doesn't actually look like Valentine...but he acts like him in some ways. Well....hello....Jace was raised by Valentine...of course they're gointo have similiar traits. Also, In CoB, Luke's story talks about how Jocelyn always kissed her WHITE BLONDE head of her son. Last time I checked, Jace had golden/bronze hair. Hmm..

I think Jocelyn is finally going to wake up at the END of the book...or near the end...after Valentine's finished off. Jace will be there along with Clary when she wakes up and Clary will tell her "Oh this is Johnathan Christopher"...and she'll go..."...No it's not...I knew my son, he did not look like this...". OR, they might find out beforehand with all the missing puzzle pieces that they find. I'm not sure I believe if Valentine fathered Clary. And yes, I do see Jace somehow related to the Inquisitor...hmm.

As for Clary and Jace's powers...I'm not sure what to say on that. But I do think that "they're super-Shadowhunters...3/4 Angel 1/4 Human" that might be a possibility of the experiment. It was so strong that only some Shadowhunters could survive it. Valentine took J.C. and tried it, but it didn't work, and J.C. died (or turned into a monster as mentioned in CoA, also Valentine said he wasn't talking about Jace)....so he got Jace from wherever the heck he was from and it worked. Voila! Super son!

For the Lightwood death...I personally think its going to be Max. People are saying that Alex and Isabelle dying would get Jace more ticked off...but Jace had a deep affection for him in CoA, plus he's lived with Max for almost 7 years.
Alec, I personally think, could be the one to off Valentine...Idk why I think that, but I can really see that. *Jace is lying on the ground...Valentine's about to drop the sword...BAM! Alec stabs him in the back* haha I know it sounds crazy, but I don't think there will be an Alec related funeral anytime soon... I hope.

I knew Simon would never last with Clary...didn't feel right
After the "Hunter's Moon" I had a feeling that Simon and Maia were going to be a thing...

Jace and Clary will either be together or SUPER good friends/family w/e (pretty sure they'll be together though)
Sebastian and Clary, well we don't know much about Sebastian but from the little parts I read...I think their thing will be just like a "fling" sort of thing...
Maybe Jace will be secretly bothered by this...we can only hope...
Alec and Magnus....hmmm tricky I see them being really good friends but not dating

I just had a mini panic attack. You know it would be JUST the thing of Cassandra to make Clary go for Simon in the last minute. Like I can see it now. We are so dead sure that she's through with Simon, and then Sabastein and Jace and everything happens, and then Clary goes "Umm... to much for me, let's be nice and safe with Simon."

Thinking on all of this angel crap, its actually making sense. By way of 'experiments'... I don't know but I am starting to see Valentine not being the father at all. Like, Jocelyn being the mother, but it wasn't pure Vlanetine... I know know, what if he laced it all with Angel blood? So that they could be part angel. Because Clary could not have had any experiments pulled on her after birth, so why not while she was conceived? And some might say that Valentine didn't know she was pregnant, so what if he put something into Jocelyns blood? What if it all happened then? I don't know. My thoughts are just jumbles. All I know is that if Clary doesn't end up with Jace I will partially die a little on the inside. I actually don't really give a crap if they are related. I never did. I thought Clary was being a bitch all through CoA because she obviously loved him. I am in the minority, but I don't really have a problem with siblings getting together. It all depends on the circumstances. There are only two problems with it Morals, and Genes. Well, with morals, if they didn't grow up together, if they think of each other as lovers and not as 'mpre then siblings', then the morals are fine. They aint nothing wrong with that. And with the genes, just don't have kids. Seriously, thats the only problem that I see. Don't have kids, and you can do whatever you want. The world has too many kids already. Adopt one that doesn't have a home instead. I have no problem with them being related.
