I did that to a friend about ...oh 10 mins ago. and I just kept ranting and She's never even heard of the books..so I threw City of Bones at her and told her to read it....

I also must mention at I feel the need to rant a little about Clary dismissing the Queen of the seelie court...that was amazing!

I did a little cabbage patch arms when clary did that! I was like 'Go Clary! Go Clary! You're amazing! You're AMAZING!' That didn't rhyme BUT being half crazed on energy drinks but thats okay. That was pure EPIC win!

Hi guys!

I am so glad that I can get a copy of COG now! And I am so surprised that some of you are already re-reading it!

I have anticipated that Clary and Jace are not siblings but I just wondered if they can have a few more romantic moments after the secret is revealed. Despite the limited non-sibling-angst-but-real-couple stuff, I trully love the ending, which is far better knitted than the HP and Twilight series (I quick scanned the BD and ended up didn't buy it.)

Actually I live in Hong Kong and I am really envying about the book signing tours that you all can join...

By the way, it's so sad that there's no update in the podcast, I understand that without new book content, nothing good can be commented on. Since the COG is out, is there anything can be done for the podcast by the original hosts or the active ones in this forum?

That's good. I do not know what time it is - where ever you are right now - , but I am pretty sure it's different than here. I just came back from school, hoping to find a message that the book finally arrived in our store in town, and got disappointed. I really want to scream at somebody - anyone - to get me that book. I'm surviving with spoilers, and that is not making me feel very well, so..

When I read one on the last page, I was just.. OMG - WTF - , he dies? And Clary.. Oh PLEASE! I could cry the whole time for not being able to know myself. Sad

She wanted a tatoo of Teenage mutant Ninja turtle.... That made my life complete practically reading that line. She wanted to cover it up with a cartoon character and I believe it was donetello.... but IDK Embarassed

Not sure about the scar thing, I will have to reread a bit, but I know how the waiting list and library thing is lol. My friends come over to borrow books all the time and during new release I have to make a list so I don't lend them out out of order and get yelled at. Same with movies and stuff. Honestly I should just have them pay me. I could be rich xD

OMG I'm alive - sorry just been SWAMPED with work, like so much so that I don't sleep much :nods: ANWAYS about the above...

Amatis basically told Jace in the Epilogue the the scar was believed to come from Jace's family lines from a dream from being touched by an angel. AND if you paid really close attention the angel Ithuriel told Clary that it wasn't the first dream that he'd given her. So basically Clary was as well touched by and angel, and thus why they have the same exact scar. Plus they were both a little more angel then their other shadowhunter counterparts, thanks to Valentine.

Alright time for my thoughts - spoiler box is a must -nods-

Alright ANYONE else but me think there were some fortellings in Clary's halucinations after the whole lake thing? Like the minute she talked about seeing an angel with black blood tipped wings and a bloody mouth I was instantly like SABASTAIN!! Maybe I was just looking for reasons to be solidified in my belief that he was one evil SOB since I thought it from the get go. I mean once I got into the book I didn't need much proof. Plus the way he acted the entire time was just much to fishy for me. I don't think I ever bought him as a good guy the entire time I was reading. And the minute Clary kissed him and realized that it felt wrong I think that's when it clicked for me.

A - the fact that she found him familar but at the same time she realized that it wasn't because he looked like her dark prince (yet another hint as to who he was) but that there was something else that he reminded her of that she couldn't figure out :cough: Valentine :cough:
B - the fact that she felt wrong and almost grossed out by kissing him. I don't know why but for some reason after that point who he was pretty much JUMPED out at me during that point - literally I almost yelled at the book and was like 'IT'S BECAUSE HE'S YOUR REAL BROTHER!!' -snort-

I was SO bummed when Max died, but I kind of had a feeling it would either be Max or Isabelle if one of the lightwoods was going to die. Alec was never really an option in my head. But I did love how Jace kept calling Max 'his' little brother, it just kind of felt like Jace was finally starting to accept that this was his family, regardless of who had raised him.

And even though I knew it all along I couldn't help but dance around the room when it was solidified that Clary and Jace weren't related. Then at that point it made me hate Valentine even more since he knew but did it on purpose to hurt them, which in my opinion was completely messed. But then again he hated Clary for Jocelyn loving her more than him. Which also put things into perspective. Can I just say that I found it kind of amusing that Valentine got killed by the thing he'd killed so many others to achieve? Like it was amusing to me, plus I was happy Clary or Jace didn't have to do it. (kill Valentine) I also love the fact that the Raziel solidified that the downworlders were creatures with souls and the only reason why he'd given his blood was to rid the world of demons, not the downworlders, completely dismissing everything that Valentine had come to believe.

It was almost a little sad when it came right down to it that Valentine did love Jace, he just couldn't love him entirely because he wasn't the warrior he wanted/needed. And when he put Jace with the Lightwoods it was because he knew they would raise him with all of the love and caring that he couldn't provide. PLUS OMFG Jace was never really the monster that he believed himself to be, the way that Valentine described him as a child as the caring one who felt everything that everyone else felt, it was so ... WOW just wow. I also found it kind of interesting that Jace was probably right about Valentine hating the real Johnathan for being what he was and how evil he truely was, since we all know that Valentine and his whole battle with wanting to be pure had to hate his real son for what he'd made him, he was far to stuck on his beliefs not to.

Alright I'll stop for now since I already wrote to much, but no doubt I'll be back as I go through and reread again.

	My aunt and I totally predicted as soon as we finished CoA that Jace was the Inquisitor's grandson. That was the most amazing part about the book for me, because we were right. I wish I wouldn't written that fanfiction now. Also, I KNEW I was going to hate Sebastian! I'm so glad I got to.

I don't really have any real big discussion points right now, other than it was just an amazing book. She did not disappoint.

I finished the book and lent it to my friend. And seriously I am just having a blast. Today she was like "Omg. They so can't be together. Right here it says 'Blah blah Jace had a look on his face when he talked of Clary that no brother ever did' [first chapter]. They so cannot be together!!"

So I was like;

She's like "You see this? This is a death glare that I am sending you. I could kill you right now. Jace cannot be a monster."
