That's a really good point! But, whether it was supposed to be a foreshadowing of this or not, now that I think about it, I don't think that it will pertain for the next book at all.

When I read a new book, I have to read the description on the jacket before I start. So, I had in my head that there would be a character named Jace. So, when the book started with the blue-haired kid, I thought that he was probably Jace.
And then, when I found out he wasn't and the CC started describing the two boys, I thought he was the dark-haired one.

Obviously, I was wrong both times lol.

I love Simon's line about the cross-dressing and such. And that part really shows how the relationship between the two will be. You know, Clary not really all there when she's with Simon, but incredibly aware of everything when she's with Jace. Kind of sad really.

This chapter made for a good way of pulling me in. I mean, starting off with a blue-haired kid talking about how he's making his knife look like it can bend? I'll finish. haha

I wanted to tell you that lately I've been cross-dressing. Also, I'm sleeping with your mom. I though you should know.

That was my favorite quote out the chapter! I love Simon!

At first, I didn't know who was the bad one...the blue haired boy or the shadowhunters (I didn't know they were at the time)

And yeah I sort of thought that Alec was going to be Clary's love interest at first until Jace showed up behind her and Simon at Eric's poetry reading...

I think I am totaly on the wagon with the blue haired boy, from his line of "I'm a vampire killer" I would have bet my life that that was Jace and then when Clary walks in that door this chapter was a big fuzz. I had to read it again after I got into the book, the first time around I kept trying to figure out who was bad who was good, who was THE guy!
But I did love Simon!

OMKT, I totally screwed myself because when I picked up CoB that very first time, I cheated and looked at the end, so I already knew Jace and Clary were bro/sis. (That might be why it laid on my bedroom floor for three and a half months before I actually read it.)

But...first impressions. I LOVED BLUE HAIRED DUDE. >.< I was rolling on the floor and dying. And Jace... What to say about Jace? Okay, at first I was all 'blah. blonde perfect godlike hero.' I actually still thought that all the way into like chapter seven.

Alec. I too thought he had the hots for Clary. I also thought that he and Jace would have to fight each other for her. Then I moved on to slash shipping JacexAlec. Little did I know. But to my credit, I figured out he was gay pretty quickly.

ahahahahahahaha I forgot about that. I think that is my favoret quote ever!

At first, I thought the blue haired kid was a vampire, looking for someone to feed on. Then when Isabelle, Alec and Jace tied him up, I figured he was a good vampire and they were the bad ones.

But when Jace started talking to Clary and stuff about demons and stuff I figured he'd be the love interest.

i found clary to be my favourite straight away and i could totally see her in my head as i continued reading
simon actually annoyed me and im not sure why
