Aww! That Samuel dude is cool. I wonder if he'll be in the final, despite the fact that this is outtake...Nice little speech on true love, though. It's so sweet!!!

Okay... I gots to do this quick before I pass out from mu throat being a bitch, OUTTAKE NUMERO OCHO!!!

Here's a scene that survives in absolutely no form in the final version of Glass, so don't get too attached. It's not a scene where anything too significant happens — Clary is looking for someone, and Sebastian is helping her. While this scene (and much of that plotline) was cut or edited, the scene does provide some glimpse at how Clary and Sebastian interact.

Oh, and Sebastian owns a horse. There are no cars in Idris. It's a long story. :>

--------

Sebastian indicated with a gesture that she should dismount, and after a moment's hesitation, Clary slid off the horse's back and into his arms. She clutched him as he caught her, her legs unsteady after the long ride. "Sorry," she said sheepishly. "Sorry — I didn't mean to grab you."
"I wouldn't apologize for that." His breath was warm against her neck and she shivered. His hands lingered just a moment longer on her back before he let her go.
All this wasn't helping Clary's legs feel any less unsteady. "Thanks," she said, knowing full well she was blushing and wishing heartily that her fair skin didn't show color so readily. "So — this is it?" She looked around — they were standing in a sort of small valley between low hills. There were a number of gnarled-looking trees ranged around a clearing. Their twisted branches had a sort of sculptural beauty against the steel-blue sky. But otherwise… "There's nothing here," Clary said with a frown.
"Clary." There was amusement in his voice. "Concentrate."
"You mean — a glamour? But I don't usually have to —"
"Glamours in Idris are often stronger than glamours elsewhere. You may have to try harder than you usually do." He put his hands on her shoulders and turned her gently. "Look at the clearing."
Clary looked. And silently performed the mental trick that allowed her to peel glamour from the thing it disguised. She imagined herself rubbing turpentine on a canvas, peeling away layers of paint to reveal the true image underneath — and there it was, a small stone house with a sharply gabled roof, smoke twisting from the chimney in an elegant curlicue. A winding path lined with stones led up to the front door. As she looked, the smoke puffing from the chimney stopped curling upward and began to take on the shape of a wavering black question mark.
Sebastian laughed. "I think that means who's there?"
Clary pulled her jacket closer around her. She felt suddenly, unaccountably cold — the wind blowing across the level grass wasn't that brisk, but there was ice in her bones nevertheless. "It looks like something out of a fairy tale."
Sebastian didn't disagree, just started up the front walk. Clary followed. When they reached the front steps, Sebastian took her hand. Immediately, the smoke curling from the chimney stopped forming itself into question marks and began puffing out in the shape of lopsided hearts. Clary snatched her hand back, felt immediately guilty, and reached for the door knocker to disguise her embarrassment. It was heavy and brass, shaped like a cat, and when she let it fall it hit the wooden door with a satisfying thwack.
The thwack was followed by a number of popping and clicking noises. The door shuddered and swung open. Beyond it, Clary could discern only darkness. She looked sideways at Sebastian, her mouth suddenly dry. Like a fairy tale cottage, she'd said. Except the things that lived in cottages in fairy tales weren't always benevolent…
"At least it isn't decorated with candy and gingerbread," Sebastian said, as if reading her thoughts. "I'll go in first, if you like."
"No." She shook her head. "We'll go in together."
They'd barely cleared the threshold when the door slammed shut behind them, shutting out all light. The blackness was relentless, impenetrable. Something brushed up against Clary in the darkness and she screamed.
"It's just me," Sebastian said. "Here — take my hand."
She felt his fingers grope for hers in the darkness and this time she seized onto his hand with a feeling of gratitude. Stupid, she thought, clutching Sebastian's fingers tightly, stupid to come in here like this — Jace would be furious —
Light suddenly flickered in the darkness. Two bright eyes appeared, green as a cat's, hanging against the blackness like jewels. Who is there? said a voice — soft as fur, sharp as ice shards.
"Sebastian Verlac and Clarissa Fairchild. You saw us coming up the walk." Sebastian's voice rang out clear and strong. "I know you're expecting us. My aunt Elodie told me where to find you. You've done work for her before —"
I know who you are. The eyes blinked, plunging them both momentarily back into darkness. Follow the torchlight.
"The what?" Clary turned, her hand still in Sebastian's, in time to see a number of torches flare up in a line, one catching fire from the next, until a blazing path was lit before them. They followed it hand it hand like Hansel and Gretel following the breadcrumb trail in the dark forest, although Clary wondered if the children in the fairy tale had been holding hands quite so tightly.
The ground crunched softly underneath. Looking down Clary saw that the path was lined with shards of gleaming black, like the carapaces of enormous insects.
"Dragon scales," Sebastian said, following her gaze. "I've never seen so many…"
Dragons are real? Clary wanted to say, but stopped herself. Of course dragons were real. What was it Jace always said to her? All the stories are true. Before she could repeat that thought aloud, the path opened out and they found themselves standing in a wide-open garden bathed in sunlight. At least, at first glance it looked like a garden. There were trees, whose leaves gleamed silver and gold, and paths laid out between banks of flowers, and in the center of the garden a sort of pavilion with bright silk walls. The torchlit path continued in front of them, leading up to the pavilion, but as they followed it Clary saw that the flowers on either side of the path were ingenious creations of paper and cloth. There were no insects buzzing, no birds chirping. And when she glanced up, she saw that there was no sky overhead, just a painted backdrop of blue and white, with a single blazing light shining down on them where the sun ought to have been.
They had reached the pavilion. Inside it, Clary could just glimpse the soft, moving gleam of candlelight. Her curiosity won out over her nerves and she let go of Sebastian's hand and ducked through a gap in the heavy silk hangings.

I officially think that sebastian is the badass... and the badass is always the bad guy Twisted Evil . He is so apart of this love triangle... I LOVE IT!!! Conflict!!!! tongue

Time for another outtake.... A little early Cassandra........ What does she say about this one?????

This one's short, but I think you'll like it. It no longer appears in
the book, and someday, after City of Glass comes out, we can discuss
why. Very Happy

Clary drew his hands away from her body, and held them, trapped
between her palms. He could have pulled away if he’d wanted to, but he
didn’t; he just looked at her. His face was flushed, his mouth set,
his eyes darkened to a hard metallic gold.
“Please, Jace,” she said. “Please, don't.”
Her hands were trembling; she knew he could feel it. If he kissed her
again, it would be all over. She would do whatever he wanted.

Excuse me for a moment *Goes into another room* AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!*
*Comes out of room* There goes my voice just as I got it back....... CASSANDRA YOU ARE AN EVIL but we love you...... I love you But why is this not in the book Sad???? I would be like affraid and want to read more.. study ........ I DON'T WANNA WAIT NO MORE!!!!!!!! No

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN THAT NOT BE IN THE BOOK?????????????

I need to get City of Glass. Right flipping now. But I can't. "His eyes darkened to a hard metallic gold." I like that line a lot for some reason. It sounds like a line from a romance novel. Like, a GOOD romance novel. Ahem. But I wouldn't know. *Cough*

Another month another outtake Very Happy .
Here's what CASSANDRA said about it.....

This was cut at a very early stage. It's just a Simon POV scene,
thinking about Jace and Clary.

-----------

On the narrow bed in his cell, Simon lay awake, watching the shadows
move and flicker across the ceiling. He had never felt so alone or so
far from home. He even missed his mother, which he knew was pathetic.
Vampires were not supposed to miss their mothers.
He closed his eyes and tried to conjure up familiar images that might
comfort him. He thought of Prospect Park in fall, the leaves changing
on the trees, and the sprung couches in Java Jones where he’d spent so
many nights sitting with Clary and laughing over endlessly refilled
cups of coffee. He thought of Clary, of the blue plastic barrettes
she’d worn in her hair until she was eleven, of the first time he’d
noticed she had a real girl’s shape under the baggy t-shirt and jeans
she always wore, and how he hadn’t been sure if he should look or look
away. He thought of her laugh and her quick fingers moving across a
page, leaving intricately designed images behind: spired castles,
running horses, brightly colored characters she’d made up in her
head.
But when he tried to conjure up her face, he saw another face instead:
Jace’s. The way Jace had looked at him on the balcony by the canal,
real panic and desperation in his eyes. He had almost felt pity for
him in that moment, or at least a sort of sympathetic kinship. He knew
what it was like to love someone who wouldn’t be with you, although in
Jace’s case it was compounded by the fact that his love for Clary was
sort of horrifying and probably illegal.
On the other hand, it was Jace’s fault that he was here at all. And,
the bastard, having accomplished what he wanted to accomplish, and all
he cared about — ensuring Clary’s safety — he was probably basking in
a restful slumber right now, while Simon lay wide-eyed and wakeful
watching the light of a single candle make patterns on the wall of his
prison cell.

Hmmmm... I don'ts know what to say *Shrugs shoulders* I'm tired and my voice is pretty much gone... lovely. But I will say that Simon seems absoultly miserable being in a jail... which is something we have in common (At least the miserable part) but all in all It's not as heart attack as the last one *Shrugs*

Frig. I am getting really really worried guys. I don't know what it is, but somehow, I have this scared feeling that maybe Clary and Jace won't be together. And I know that CoG will kill me even more then CoA did. I seriously almost died reading it. Because I was so miserable and so happy in a second. It was just the biggest emotional stress. I could not leave it, I had to finish it in a day. So... CoG will be difficult to read. Because I want them together more then anything. I don't even think them being related is a topic of discussion anymore. I mean, seriously, it makes no difference if they are not going to end up together anyways. All of you are going "Oh man, I hope they ain't related, cause then they can have babies!" But what if they just don't end up together? I think I will cry. Then Cry some more. Then be emo in a corner, then cry myself to sleep. Cause like I said, CC's books work up my emotions more then anything I've ever read. It makes me actually tired reaing it.

So now I am scared. Cause I just have a weird feeling that they just might not be together.

Outtake... tired.... Have rehersal in 2 hours..... for 4 hours.... must find caffine..... Here's what cassandra said:

Deleted from somewhere in the middle of the book....

--
"The Clave," Luke said, "was reluctant to believe that a man who claims to hate demons as much as you do would really traffic with them. But I knew better." His voice dropped, so that Clary wondered if those in the back of the Hall could even hear him. He seemed to be speaking purely to Valentine. "You see I know you, Valentine. I knew your dreams and fears once. Demons were never your worst nightmare, were they? In fact, you're grateful for their existence because they give Nephilim a reason to be. Without them, we'd be ordinary. Mundanes. And it was always so important to you that we be special. Chosen. Driven by a higher purpose. To ally ourselves —" He caught himself, smiled wryly, and went on — "to ally yourselves with those you consider of a lower order dilutes your uniqueness. What are you then? How are you like gods if those you consider below yourselves share your power and prestige?"
"But you can never share our power," Valentine said. "You are not like us, werewolf. Nephilim protect this world, but the things of this world reject your kind. There is a reason clean silver burns you, and daylight scorches the Night's Children."
"It doesn't scorch me," Simon said in a sharp, clear voice, despite the grip of Clary's hand on his wrist. "Here I am standing in sunlight — "
But Valentine just laughed. "I've seen you choke on the name of God, vampire," he said. "As for why you can stand in the sunlight —" He broke off, then and grinned. "You're an anomaly, perhaps. A freak. But still a monster."
A monster. Clary thought suddenly of Valentine on the ship, or what he had said there: Your mother told me that I had turned her first child into a monster. She left me before I could have the chance to do the same to her second.
Jace. The thought of his name was a sharp pain in her chest, so sharp it nearly made her gasp. After what he did, he stands here talking about monsters —
"The only monster here," she said, despite herself and despite her resolution to keep silent, "is you. I know everything —"
"I doubt that," Valentine said. "If you did, you'd keep your mouth shut. For your brother's sake, if not your own."
"Enough," said Luke. Clary saw the sudden flash of concern in his eyes and knew he was cutting her off before she said something she'd regret. "Whether Simon is an anomaly or not, the fact that he can walk in the daylight means there's more to Downworlders than you know, Valentine. You think you know where every piece fits in the hierarchy. What was it you always used to say? Deus volt? 'Because God wills it?' Who are you to think you know the will of God?"
"I am a Shadowhunter," said Valentine. "I have spoken with angels. The blood of angels runs in all our veins. You say I think I'm tantamount to a god; I know that I'm not —"
"No," said Luke. "You're not. You're just a selfish child who doesn't want to share his toys."
"Not with animals," said Valentine. "You accuse me of thinking I'm better than you, that we are better than your kind." He accompanied the word we with a sweeping gesture that included all the Shadowhunters in the Hall. "I do. We are. We are not gods, but we are their chosen warriors. You don't want to hear it. You never would believe it. But it is true, all the same." He turned to address the silent, staring crowd.

HELLO VALENTINE!! wE FInally have an outtake with u... I think..... Interesting if I do says so myself... Now if you excuse me I have a date with hell! Evil or Very Mad

Wooo, dramatic! And in front of a crowd, too!!! Well, it says that Clary remembered the monster thing Valentine said in CoA about her sibling and thought of Jace. So if the book still goes by a similar timeline to this, then by the middle of the book it appears that Jace and Clary are still seeming to be siblings. Dang it. That's looking pretty grim for Jace and Clary getting together without incest. But I hardly even care anymore. Like, I do, but not because of conventions and more because of the technicalities and issues that would arise...

You people should love me lol... 15 minutes before school and I'm posting 2 outtakes....I'm a bad person, Wait... No I'm not! Smile

Here's what cassie said about outtake uno:

Somewhere around the middle of the book.

“Are you all right?” Alec asked. “Are you ready to go in?”
Am I ready? Simon didn’t think so. He would have liked to turn and run
back down the hill, disappear into the shadows. But he heard Jace’s
voice in his head, like an insistent, panicked whisper. They’ll put
her in the front lines — and she’ll get hurt.
Clary. Simon hadn’t let himself think about her until now — hadn’t
wanted to, had pushed back the image of the last time he’d seen her,
turning, smiling at him from Luke’s front door, the breeze off the
river catching her red hair and blowing it across her face. And it
wasn’t that imagine that came to him now, nor any image of Clary as
she was, but the memory of a six-year-old Clary pushing a piece of
paper across his first-grade desk, saying, Simon, I drew this for you.
He turned to look at Alec, who had one hand already on the gate.
“I’m ready,” he said.

*Drinks juice* Simon... I think My heart broke a little with that Sad So sad yet so sweet ... This should be in the book... But its giving me HIGH hopes so I'm not worried.

Numero DOS!!!:

Again, somewhere in the middle of the book.

"You know you can do this, right?" Isabelle asked. "I mean, no one's ever heard of a rune like this before. You're sure it'll work? Because messing up a rune —"
"Shut up, Izzy," Alec said through clenched teeth. "Clary, go ahead."
She placed the tip of the stele against his skin and hesitated. She'd spoken with such power and surety there in the Hall, it had been as if the words had poured through her from another source, as if they hadn't come from herself at all. She thought of the rune that had hung shining behind her eyes like the afterimage of a star. And then she thought of her mother, the way Jocelyn painted, her eyes half-closed as if she trusted the image to come to her without her even needing to see it.
She let the image pour down through her, through her veins, through her hands and wrists and fingertips and into the stele and onto Alec's skin in thick black lines, lines that seemed to spiral out from an expanding center reaching out beyond themselves and finally, impossibly, coming together in a matrix of pattern that was almost indecipherable to the eye.
She lowered the stele, a little breathless. "It's done."
Alec examined the finished product with a faint smile. "Cool." He rolled his sleeve down. "I don't feel any different."

Haven't we heard that line before??? Maybe when He almost... CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET! CAUSE HE'S..... TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET! To bad its only an outtake though... This would be really interesting if it was in the book....

-snorts- Oh, Alec, honey. When will you learn? (He always says 'cool' when he sees one of Clary's new runes, too... that's adorable...) -shakes head and clears throat-
Cassie, we love you. ONLY A LITTLE OVER TWO MORE MONTHS! -dies- I'm just DYING to know why she's Marking up Alec. Again.

We have another Outtake my dears! Nd Its some comedy relief!
Here's what CC said:
Also a scene that now doesn't appear in the books, but was once toward the later part of the middle.

Clary didn't wish Alec or Isabelle good luck, or ask them to tell Jace anything for her. She'd already done that, earlier, when she'd given the ring to Simon. She watched them descend the steps, shadows in their black gear, Isabelle's coiled whip gleaming at her side like a wire made of pressed flames.
They vanished into the shadows at the edge of the square, and Clary turned to Simon. "Nice work."
"What do you mean, nice work?"
"The way you got Isabelle to calm down like that. And Maia down the other day. You've become a girl whisperer, Simon."
"Shut up, Clary."
"And you're getting harder to tease. You're not even blushing."
"I can't blush. I'm a vampire."
"Oh, right. And that explains your sudden popularity with the ladies, too, doesn't it," Clary said. "Aren't vampire supposed to have hypnotic powers of persuasion?"
Simon glared at her. "It's nice to know that even in a crisis you still find some things funny," he said. "Even if most of them involve mocking me."
"That," Clary told him, "will always be funny."

YAY!! That was cute!!! <3. Why are all these outtakes like... AMAZING??!!! They all sholud be in the book!!

"You've become a girl whisperer, Simon" That is pure gold right there. Lol Cool
I'm so werid Shocked
